LATE BLOOMER

𝘉𝘺: 𝘛𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘢 𝘡𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘯

Recently, a good friend opened up about feeling left behind sa progress ng buhay nya as compared to her friends.

Funny thing is, I was mulling over the exact same thought. Natandaan ko bigla yung narinig ko na kasabihan that “Comparison is the thief of joy”. Kung iisipin mo, totoo din naman. For sure the season we are in right now was somehow something we fervently prayed for in the past. The responsibility of parenthood, the job, the ability to serve, the recovery, the opportunities we have – at some point hiningi din natin to kay Lord. Kaso pag pinag kumpara mo sa pace ng ibang tao at kung anong meron sila, parang kulang ka parin. Like they’ve somehow gotten ahead in this race.

But the thing is, life isn’t a race. It’s a journey you take that constantly refines you through its peaks and valleys.

I know I prayed for what I have and where I am now. Not much is happening yet, but I know this is God’s will. I just need to trust Him in the in between while things are unfolding.

Tiwala lang tayo, God isn’t done with our journey yet.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
