Life has a way of surprising us—not always with good things, but often with challenges that feel like steep, rocky mountains.
Like recently when I had a terrible financial crisis, one after the other. I seem to have so many unanswered prayers – from health battles, company/business problems, car issues to long seasons of waiting for my personal issues to get resolved.
Each one feels heavy, uncertain, and sometimes even unfair. Oh Lord, bakit nagsabay-sabay na naman.
There are rockies that test our patience—when doors don’t open no matter how hard we knock.
Then I sat down, reflected. And I was reminded once again of the quiet truth. God does His best work in the middle of our hardest places.
The rockies of life are not meant to destroy us—they are meant to shape us. Think about it. A smooth stone was once rough, but through time, pressure, and constant movement, it became refined. In the same way, God uses our struggles to mold our character, deepen our faith, and draw us closer to Him.
Sometimes, what we see as a setback is actually God setting us up for something greater.
That delay? It prepares us for a blessing we’re not ready for yet. That pain? It humbles us and reminds us that we cannot do life alone.
In the middle of our rockies, He becomes our strength when we are weak, our peace when we are anxious, and our hope when everything feels uncertain.
And when we look back, we realize something beautiful: The very rocks we stumbled on… became the foundation of our testimony.
So, if you’re in a rocky season right now, don’t lose heart. God is not finished yet. What feels like a burden today may become your biggest breakthroughs tomorrow.
