In this season, my heart feels both heavy and grateful as I remember my mom — the woman whose love shaped my life in ways words can never fully capture. Losing her was one of the hardest moments I’ve ever faced. There are days I still reach for my phone to call her, only to realize she’s no longer on the other end of this life.
But even in the ache, God has been faithful. What used to be tears of pain have slowly turned into tears of peace, because I know she’s now resting in the arms of the One who gave her life. Her absence on earth is deeply felt, yet her presence in heaven reminds me that love never dies; it simply changes its form.
Today, as candles are lit and prayers rise, I whisper a quiet ‘Thank You’ to God for giving me a mother whose life was a testimony of faith, compassion, grace and strength. Her life may have ended, but her light continues through every act of kindness she inspired in me.
To everyone remembering a loved one today, may you find comfort in knowing that our stories don’t end in the grave, but in God’s eternal promise. Let’s honor their memory not only with candles and flowers, but by living out their legacy, forgiving more easily, loving more deeply, and serving others wholeheartedly.
