VOICELESS

Last week I was not able to preach because I had a terrible cough and I lost my voice. For people like me, whose main role in the ministry is to speak, losing our voice feels like being useless.

I still went to the Feast that day. I listened to Bro. Louie Julian preach to the WFA Family. It was the start of the series entitled Called To Witness. I really wanted to preach that day, just to hype the series, knowing very well that it would bless many people. But as I sat in the crowd listening intently to Bro. Louie, I can hear God whisper in my heart.

β€œThe less you speak, the more you witness.”

That is when I remembered the many times we were told that our actions speak louder than words, that losing my voice doesn’t mean losing my chance to witness.
After the Feast, I still went around and greeted our attendees by simply shaking their hands and waving them goodbye. It was enough for them to know that I was there for them.

Sometimes we don’t need to say anything; a pat on the back, a smile, or simply waving to say hi is enough to let others know they are seen and they are loved.
