The card on the photo was given to me by one of those I journeyed with through Love Someone Today (LST), our one-to-one discipleship tool at the Feast. Beside it is a gift with a note from her 7-year old son. It literally made a smile on my face.
For several weeks, I would regularly meet with her mom for coffee date as we go through our LST sessions. Sometimes, he would tag along.
There were days when my schedule was packed with a lot of work or ministry activities. There were times when I just wanted to stay at home to rest. Yet I continued with our session as I knew she needed someone to listen and journey with her.
Finally, she graduated from our LST and is now actively serving at the Feast. She will soon be part of our Jesus Encounter formation a couple of months from now.
But the icing on the cake is her sweet son. I donβt know why but he is so fond of seeing me at the Feast.
When he went with his mom at the Feast one time, I told him, βSee you next week.β
When they got home, his mom asked him, βSo are you going to the Feast with me next week?β
He said, βAnything for Sis. Lyra.β
I burst in laughter when his mom told me this.

I was trying to comprehend the mind of this little boy why he was so willing to do anything for me. Maybe he genuinely felt how I loved him and his mom.
Itβs timely that we were recently talking about TASK β Tiny Acts of Selfless Kindness at the Feast. Sometimes, helping others seems like a burden but if we do it with loving kindness, life has its way to repay us back.
