No Longer Strangers: A Deep Dive On Ephesians
Talk 1: God Has A Plan
Welcome to our brand-new teaching series, No Longer Strangers, A Deep dive on the letter of Paul to the Ephesians
Ephesians is special. Some Bible Scholars call Ephesians the Queen of the Epistles, the masterpiece of Paul’s theology.
While the other letters address the immediate practical concerns of a local home church, Ephesians declares God’s cosmic, eternal plan from the very beginning of history to its ultimate completion.
And what is that cosmic plan? The unity of everything under Jesus. And God has a plan.
Talk 2: God Has A House
Talk 3: God Has A Family
We are equally loved by God. Every single human being has equal dignity, equal identity, and equal inheritance—because we’re all children of God. No exception. God even includes our enemies as recipients of His Favor. Watch how could become a holy place where people experience God’s love. That when people see us, they see God. When people hear us, they hear God. When people visit us, they visit God.
Talk 4: God Wants Real Unity
The entire letter to the Ephesians has two parts. The first half—which is the first three chapters—explains our identity in Christ. The second half—which is the last three chapters—explains how to live out that identity.
In this talk, we start with the second half of Ephesians. And the first thing Paul tells us?
Our identity in Christ gives us real unity.
If we follow Jesus, then we should be willing to sacrifice for our unity.
Talk 5: You Are Light In The Darkness
Be who you really are.
Have you noticed? In our modern world today, it’s normal to lie, steal, fight, get drunk, watch porn, act selfish, and forget the poor.
I’m not talking of what pagans do. I’m talking of what creed-confessing, card-carrying, church-attending Christians do. We have normalized evil behavior in their lives.
Paul is saying that because of who we are in Christ, we’re supposed to behave in a specific way. Be light. Because God made you His child.
Talk 6: Fight In God’s Army with God’s Armor
Don’t Fight Alone. Christianity isn’t a playground; it’s a battleground. But you don’t have to face it solo. Victory is won when we stand shield-to-shield, fighting together in God’s Army.
Put on the full Armor of God today. How? Watch and be reminded that you belong, you are loved, and you are family.
