MGA EME NG BABAE

Last May, I attended an all-women retreat in Tagaytay City called Women of Worth (WOW). One of the messages that really struck a chord with me was the reminder to recognize what I truly want and to gracefully accept compliments from others.

Isa talaga โ€˜yan sa eme nating mga kababaihan.

Sometimes, when our self-confidence has taken a beating, or when we’ve consistently put our needs aside to prioritize our families, our sense of self and clarity about what we want becomes blurred.

When people praise us, we feel shy or dismissive. But when weโ€™re not appreciated, we feel overlooked or undervalued.

๐ด๐‘›๐‘” ๐‘”๐‘ข๐‘™๐‘œ, ๐‘‘๐‘– ๐‘๐‘Ž? Weโ€™re often conflicted about what we want and how we feel about ourselves.

Maybe itโ€™s because we’ve gotten so used to the daily grind that we stop seeing anything special in who we are or what we do.

But during that retreat, I felt Godโ€™s embrace. It was a reminder that He created women for a purpose.

As His daughters, we are called to loveโ€”and to know that we deserve to be loved in return, fully and graciously.

Kaya mga sis, bawasan na natin ang eme. Letโ€™s cut the drama and focus on becoming the women God wants us to be.

Letโ€™s go out into the world braver, more confident, and more certain of what we want. Letโ€™s keep the faith that we are worthy of all the beautiful things life has to offerโ€”as beloved daughters of God.
