I AM STILL IN EGYPT

This year has been one of the hardest seasons of my life. My marriage was on the edge of
breaking, and my father was fighting for his life against cancer. I felt overwhelmed and afraid.
Yet even through all of it, God carried me, just as He carried the Israelites out of slavery in
Egypt.

But you see, when the Israelites were in the wilderness, they began to complain. They were hungry, thirsty, and scared. Despite the plagues God sent to protect them and the Red Sea He
parted for them, their faith remained small. They even said they were better off in Egypt.

I realized I had become just like them.
My faith wavered. I asked God why my sufferings never seemed to end. I complained even after everything He had already brought me through. I was blind to the blessings around me and to
the people who truly love me. Therefore, I suffer even more.

But today, as I read through the chapters of Exodus, God spoke to my heart and reminded me
of this truth:

If He has brought you out of Egypt, do not look back. Do not return to what He delivered you from.

He never promised a life without difficulty, but He promised His presence in the wilderness.

So if you feel lost, scared, or stuck in a dark season, remember this: God is working. He has
already led you out of Egypt. And as you move forward, don’t carry Egypt with you.

Let go.
And let God lead the way.
