I have stock investments and it’s a good way to earn money in a passive way.
Many times, I have “paper losses” when the market is down. There’s pain when stocks in my portfolio are ‘red’.
But because I’ve seen this before, I know my stocks will soon bounce back, as I have invested in solid and reputable companies.
Ganyan din sa buhay, hindi laging meron. May “dry season” ding tinatawag.
Recently, I experienced losing something all women proudly wear: my hair. It’s women’s crowning glory. Although my oncologist already told me what to expect, it’s still painful.
I was shaking that day when I was in the salon. I couldn’t look at the mirror after the stylist shaved the rest of my hair.
I intently gazed at myself. Matagal kong tinitigan ang sarili ko. After a few moments, I started to feel better.
The pain was over-shadowed by the love that our Lord showers me every day. His love, my friends and my family’s love overflows, enough to make me feel beautiful inside and out.
Yes, I may have lost my hair, but I know this is just temporary.
In due time, I will look back at this painful moment and say to myself, God has turned my grief into joy.
