DIVINE PRESENCE

Every Sunday, I find myself searching for a church to attend mass. The parish near our home feels a bit monotonous at times, so I often end up going elsewhere. Most Sundays, I attend Mass at The Feast Alabang Northgate. Iโ€™ve grown used to the joyful and Spirit-filled celebrations. Since I serve at The Feast Alabang every Wednesday, I naturally look for the same kind of energy and inspiration during Sunday Mass.

But one Sunday, I couldnโ€™t make the trip to Alabang. So, I decided to attend Mass at the church nearest our home. At first, I expected nothing special. Yet during the Eucharist, something beautiful happened โ€” I felt the overwhelming presence of the Lord. It was as if cold water had been poured over me especially during the homily and consecration, awakening my heart to something I had forgotten; Godโ€™s presence does not depend on the place, the people, or the kind of celebration.

God is omnipresent. He is everywhere โ€” in grand worship halls and in quiet chapels, in joyful songs and in moments of silence. He can turn any moment into a moment of grace, if only we open our hearts to Him.

That Sunday reminded me that what truly matters is not where we worship, but how we seek Him. When we come before God with a sincere heart, we will find Him โ€” because He is already there, waiting for us.

โ€œWhere can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence?โ€ โ€” Psalm 139:7
