𝘉𝘺 𝘒𝘶𝘺𝘢 𝘋𝘢𝘯
In one of our New Year exercises, pinabunot kami ng card with a picture, then we reflected on it based on our plans and prayers for 2026. The card I picked showed two people holding each other.
At first, parang romantic siya tingnan. Sana nga di ba hehe. Pero habang pinagninilayan ko, malinaw sa puso ko na hindi romance ang mensahe.
What stood out was companionship—yung presensya ng isang tao o mga taong sasamahan ka sa buhay, lalo na sa mahihirap na panahon.
Ngayon kasi, mag-isa na akong nakatira, with only a helper. Recently, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. Pero lumalaban sya and I honor her for that. Kaya nung lumabas yung image ng “companion,” medyo nalito rin ako. Ano ba ang ibig sabihin nito, Lord? Paano at kailan?
Pero one thing is clear: ipinagdarasal ko na bigyan ako ng Diyos ng companion—hindi man romantic, kundi someone or some people who will help me journey through this season of my life. Hindi ko alam kung paano mangyayari, pero alam kong ito ang kailangan ko ngayon.
At pinipili kong magtiwala. Ginawa na ito ng Diyos dati. Bago pumanaw si Nanay, akala ko hindi ko kakayanin. Pero hindi Niya ako pinabayaan. He carried me through that season, in ways I didn’t expect.
“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

As I step into 2026, ito ang dala kong panalangin: Lord, send the companions You have prepared for me. And habang naghihintay, remind me that You are my constant and faithful Companion.
