BURN

I still can’t get over with what happened last weekend. It wasn’t just a retreat. It was a holy pause.

Last Saturday and Sunday in Tagaytay, God met us in the middle of our weariness—the kind servants rarely talk about but often carry in silence. We came in … some of us tired, some running on fumes, yet still saying yes to the call.

And there, truth was spoken. About the joy of serving… about the fire of the calling.
And about the BURNOUT that slowly creeps in when love is poured out without rest.

Nakaka-relate ka ba? Nakaka-validate.

We were reminded that God never asked us to burn ourselves out for Him. He asks us to burn in Him—to be refilled, to be held by the same God we serve.

The ending broke us open. Words of affirmation spoken… lives encouraged… hearts seen. There were tears that healed. Hugs that carried grace.

Silences filled by God’s presence.

In those moments, community became sacred. Serving became human again. Love felt lighter.

I am deeply grateful for this space—to stop, to breathe, to realign my heart with His. May we continue to serve with fire in our souls—not burning out but burning in His strength alone.

Special thanks to Fr. Atong De Guzman, our retreat Mentor and Bro. Oying Isidoro, our ever-loving Shepherd.
