ACTS in 30 Days | Day 26-30

Day 26: Paul’s belief that there will be a resurrection was connected to his specific trust in the resurrection of Jesus after his death on the cross. May the grace of the risen Christ inspire us to stand on His promises and trust on His plans for our lives.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 24. (http://bit.ly/Acts24GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 26. (http://bit.ly/Psalm26GNT)

Day 27: Today’s chapter shows Paul’s passion and boldness about spreading the Gospel. He was willing to face anything — even death. May we catch on to this kind of passion so we can change ourselves and the world.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 25. (http://bit.ly/Acts25GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 27. (http://bit.ly/Psalm27GNT)

Day 28: In the Acts chapter today, Paul declared his continued trust in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He did not retreat from his stand one inch, despite his long imprisonment for the sake of the gospel. We’re down to last few days of our Acts in 30 Days prayer devotions. Please continue to open your heart to the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 26. (http://bit.ly/Acts26GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 28. (http://bit.ly/Psalm28GNT)

Day 29: Paul believed God when there was nothing else to believe. He couldn’t believe the sailors, the ship, the sails, the wind, the centurion, human ingenuity or anything else – only God. He believed God in the midst of the storm, when circumstances were at their worst. The storm and the danger were real, but God was more real to Paul than the dreadful circumstances.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 27. (http://bit.ly/Acts27GNT)

2) Watch this final video in our Acts series.

3) Reflect and take down notes.

4) End your reading by praying Psalm 29. (http://bit.ly/Psalm29GNT)

Day 30: “Now, at the very end of the book, the apostle comes to Rome. Thus Jesus’ prophecy that his disciples would be his witnesses ‘to the ends of the earth’ is fulfilled.”

ACTS in 30 Days | Day 19-25

Day 19: Wherever you are in your life right now, God is with you. Declare this today: God is near me. God loves me.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 17. (http://bit.ly/Acts17GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 19. (http://bit.ly/Psalm19GNT)

Day 20: In this chapter of Acts, Paul was seen afraid, fearing that his work in Corinth would be cut short by either opposing Jews or by the highly-charged worldliness around him. The solution to Paul’s fear was for him to obey Jesus’ command to not be afraid; and not keep silent in proclaiming God’s word. The call for us today remains the same–keep telling our stories of faith and God will equip us as we minister to people.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 18. (http://bit.ly/Acts18GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 20. (http://bit.ly/Psalm20GNT)

Day 21: We’re down to our last 10 days of our prayer journey with the Book of Acts. Let’s keep on doing this together as we read one chapter of Acts a day, reflect and pray the Psalms.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 19. (http://bit.ly/Acts19GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 21. (http://bit.ly/Psalm21GNT)

Day 22: What was it like for the apostle Paul to travel around the Roman Empire announcing the good news about the risen Jesus? What drove him to plant new Jesus communities in city after city, and how did people respond to his message? In our third video on the book of Acts, we’ll explore all of this and more!

Paul didn’t know what was ahead of him; he even had reason to believe it was bad. But that didn’t trouble him. May we have a faith like Paul’s–always trusting that God will go before him.

For today, we encourage you to:
1) Read Acts 20. (http://bit.ly/Acts20GNT)

2) Watch this video.

3) Reflect and take down notes.

4) End your reading by praying Psalm 22. (http://bit.ly/Psalm22GNT)

Day 23: Paul’s insistence on going to Jerusalem despite the dangers predicted by the Holy Spirit was not a result of rebellion, but an obedient response to the command of the Holy Spirit in his heart.

As we pause and reflect today, let’s pray for an obedient heart like Paul’s.

For today, we encourage you to:
1) Read Acts 21. (http://bit.ly/Acts21GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 23. (http://bit.ly/Psalm23GNT)

Day 24: As we read the Word today, let us pray for a heart that is discerning of God’s will and plans.

Acts 22:14 encapsulates the duty of every one before God: To know His will, to see the Just One (Jesus), and to hear the voice of His mouth (His word).

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 22. (http://bit.ly/Acts22GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 24. (http://bit.ly/Psalm24GNT)

Day 25: Brothers and sisters, take courage. Just like Paul’s story, the promise of more work to do is also a promise of continued protection. God will be with you every step of the way.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 23. (http://bit.ly/Acts23GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 25. (http://bit.ly/Psalm25GNT)

ACTS in 30 Days | Day 12-18

Day 12: Peter interprets the events in the reading today by remembering the words of Jesus.

In our lives, may we strive to be like Peter–always attentive to God’s leading.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 11. (http://bit.ly/Acts11GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 12. (http://bit.ly/Psalm12GNT)

Day 13: Our new video on Acts Ch. 8-12 explores how God’s Spirit transformed Jesus’ followers from a small collective

of messianic Jews in Jerusalem, into a multi-ethnic movement that quickly spread throughout the nations.

DAY 14:

Day 15: Being filled with joy and being filled with the Holy Spirit go together.

May this always be our outlook in our lives. May we always shine the light of God to other people.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 13:26-52. (http://bit.ly/Acts13GNTPart2)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 15. (http://bit.ly/Psalm15)

Day 16: It is no small thing to walk with the Lord. It takes a strong soul and an encouraged faith.

As we reflect on the readings today, let us ask for God’s grace that we may always look at pain as significant in His plan for our lives and for strength to always overcome them.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 14. (http://bit.ly/Acts14GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 16. (http://bit.ly/Psalm16GNT)

Day 17: Peter showed how the heart is purified: by faith, not by keeping of the law. Christians are not only saved by faith; they are also purified by faith.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 15. (http://bit.ly/Acts15GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 17. (http://bit.ly/Psalm17GNT)

Understanding the Bible is stepping into a new world. If you’re confused, it’s okay. But there are things that you can consider to help you– the setting, and the bigger story.

Day 18: Today, we reflect on the lives of Paul and Silas. The jailer was so impressed by Paul and Silas – by the love they showed to him, and from their ability to take joy even in misery.

This is how God wants our lives to be–to reflect His love and draw people to Him. As we pause today, let us ask for heaven’s grace to encourage us to be living testimonies of God’s goodness here on earth.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 16. (http://bit.ly/Acts16GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 18. (http://bit.ly/Psalm18GNT)

ACTS in 30 Days | Day 5-11

Day 5: We come together today to witness the growth and challenges in the Early Church and encounter both weakness and grace.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 5. (http://bit.ly/Acts5GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 5. (http://bit.ly/Psalm5GNT)

Day 6: Our chapter today shows the challenge of change in building of a church of disciples.

Let’s dive in and think about what it implies to us now.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 6. (http://bit.ly/Acts6GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 6. (http://bit.ly/Psalm6GNT)

Day 7: The book of Acts shows how God fulfilled His ancient promises to restore His blessing to all the nations through the offspring of Abraham: J

esus of Nazareth. In this video, we’ll explore how Jesus and the Spirit renew the people of Israel and prepare them to announce good news to the nations.

Bless more lives, bless your life.

Go to http://www.kerygmafamily.com/ and join our family.

Day 8: We continue our reflection story from yesterday’s readings.

The death by stoning of Stephen marked a turning point in Christianity.

Stephen set the stage for the spread of Christianity so Jesus will be known.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 7:30-60. (http://bit.ly/Acts7GNTPart2)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 8. (http://bit.ly/Psalm8GNT)

Day 9: In this chapter, we will learn how God can and will use pressing circumstances to guide us into His will.

Read and be blessed by His message for you today.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 8. (http://bit.ly/Acts8GNT)

2) Watch this preaching explaining how the Bible is an expression of God’s love.

3) Reflect and take down notes.

4) End your reading by praying Psalm 9. (http://bit.ly/Psalm9GNT)

Day 10: “Lord, what do You want me to do?” This is often our question. And this is often the character of God’s direction in our lives.

God patiently directs our steps instead of revealing His grand plan all at once.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 9. (http://bit.ly/Acts9GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 10. (http://bit.ly/Psalm10GNT)

Day 11: Meet Cornelius, a Gentile who served God. He is undoubtedly a good man, and yet He needed Jesus.

No matter how good we live our lives, we will always seek Jesus.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 10. (http://bit.ly/Acts10GNT)

2) Reflect and take down notes.

3) End your reading by praying Psalm 11. (http://bit.ly/Psalm11GNT)

ACTS in 30 Days | Day 1-4

DAY 1: Welcome to ACTS IN 30 DAYS!

Many of us may not really know why we need to be acquainted with the Holy Spirit. Why do we need to call on the Holy Spirit when we pray? Why do we need to invoke its presence in our lives?

The Holy Spirit is in each one of us. Let us acknowledge that presence as we dive into the Word and unleash this beautiful power in us to help us and strengthen us in our daily battles against sin.

In this brand new online prayer and scripture guide, we will walk you through the Book of Acts to help you build a deeper relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Let us start a month-long Bible reading plan on the book of Acts. The idea is simple: Read one chapter of Acts a day for 30 days.

For today, this is what we encourage you to do:
1) Get your Bible and read Acts 1. You may also read it here: http://bit.ly/Acts1GNT
2) Watch this video.
3) Reflect and take down notes. While reading ACTS, write down what strikes you, and write any questions that may pop up, and finally, what message you feel God is telling you through the passages.
4) End your reading by praying a Psalm. For today, let’s read Psalm 1 (http://bit.ly/Psalm1GNT)

Be blessed as we start another prayer journey as one community.

Also available in Spotify: BoSanchezRadio

DAY 2: Let’s relive the first experience of the coming down of the Holy Spirit among the apostles and remember that the same power then is the same power in us now.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 2. (http://bit.ly/Acts2GNT)

2) Watch this Bible Project’s video on the book of Acts, which breaks down the literary design of the book and its flow of thought.

3) Reflect and take down notes.

4) End your reading by praying Psalm 2. (http://bit.ly/Psalm2GNT)

Day 3: Let’s read and remember how healing, not just physically but spiritually, can come from faith in the power of Jesus.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 3. (http://bit.ly/Acts3GNT)

2) Watch this Bible Project’s video on the book of Acts, which explores the original meaning of the biblical concept of ‘spirit’ and how it reveals itself through Jesus and is present in all creation.

3) Reflect and take down notes.

4) End your reading by praying Psalm 3. (http://bit.ly/Psalm3GNT)

Day 4: As we read today’s chapter, let’s open our hearts to receive the same courage and boldness that can only come from the Spirit.

For today, we encourage you to:

1) Read Acts 4. (http://bit.ly/Acts4GNT)

2) Watch this Bible Project’s video as it traces the origins of the word ‘gospel’ and how it ties the Bible all together.

3) Reflect and take down notes. 4) End your reading by praying Psalm 4. (http://bit.ly/Psalm4GNT)

Reflection: Do you experience the Holy Spirit in your prayers?

DAY 27: At Eucharist, we do not only offer our struggles, our hopes, or our prayers. At Eucharist, we offer Jesus to the Father. Because when we present ourselves at Mass, He supernaturally transforms our fragile life to become His glorious sacrifice on Golgotha.
Watch Fr. Raprap del Rosario preach to us more about the beauty of the Eucharist. May every Mass we attend be a meaningful encounter between you and Jesus.
