Last January 13-14, 2018, the WFFA Media Team paused and attended a retreat in Verbum Dei in Tagaytay City. It was a relaxing, refreshing and spirit- filled 2 days that blessed every Media servant under Call (Evangelism) Pillar. The 2 days were filled with emotional realizations and important revelations while reflecting on defining moments of our personal and ministry journey. We may be in different phases in our spiritual journey, but one thing is sure, we felt the hands of God move, and fashioned all things that happened in our lives for our good and for God’s purpose and glory.
Here are some of the attendees’ takeaways:
Reg: “My takeaway from the retreat is that I started the year medyo lost regarding my purpose pero because of the retreat, I am closer to clarity with my purpose and goals and I’m happy that kahit “personal” yung purpose ko, it still very much tied with ministry and our call to evangelize. Everything is aligning. Salamat sa relaxing, fun, and intimate weekend with you guys! ❤️”
Mymy: “So many insights and very timely, as I started this new year it will serve as my guidepost both with my personal, work and ministry. Looking forward again to the next Call Pillar Planning and Retreat.”
Chamie: “I realized that working for God or being His servant, when you’re committed no matter how much or little time you have/give/offer; He will give you more than enough of what you deserve, like it’s specially made for you.”
Eiem: “God spoke to me that my purpose, my dream, my calling was already inside of me from the day He created me. He assured me that He allowed me to feel lost, so that I may be found. Even the confusing part of life (as for me it is 2017), He is doing something. He’s making me realize that sooner or later, I really did have to go through all those obstacles to be just the kind of person He wills me to be. You just have to trust. Ibang klase.. overwhelming.”
Randy: “..God’s plan is indeed bigger than us. I look forward to continue serving at WFFA and embrace the new mission that God may give. I pray for all the team members, that God may unite us with His Love and keep the fire burning in serving Him at WFFA.”
Van: “Papa God sure has His ways of making us feel His love for us. I needed healing not just physically and emotionally but also spiritually, and He provided all of that during our retreat. ????”
Indeed, Verbum Dei (which means ‘Word of God’) is an unforgettable place because it is where we heard the tender whisper of Jesus.
It felt like home. A refuge for people like us. And we wonder why– ’til we saw its full name on a lowly and worn-out sign board : ‘Verbum Dei Center for Evangelization’.
