ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED

By Charm Dogma

I recently watched a trending video showing the overwhelming joy of bar exam passers in the Philippines β€” 5,594 out of 11,425 takers, or 48.98 percent, made it. Seeing their reactions of screaming, crying, and fainting filled me with happiness and reflection. It made me think of my own dreams.

For years, I had been aiming to earn a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification, but fear and intimidation held me back. Through a friend’s encouragement, I finally enrolled in a class. Alongside other professionals, we spent a weekend learning, taking the exam, and defending our project before a certified coach.

I’m proud to say I did it β€” I can now add to my name: πΆβ„Žπ‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘š π·π‘œπ‘”π‘šπ‘Ž, πΆπΏπ‘†π‘†π‘Œπ΅.

My experience reminded me of the Parable of the Talents (π‘€π‘Žπ‘‘π‘‘β„Žπ‘’π‘€ 25:14–30). God entrusts us with gifts, not to keep hidden, but to nurture and multiply. Earning a certification, for me, reflects this same call to stewardship. God has given me abilities, opportunities, and the strength to learn. I am not merely improving myself β€” I am honoring the Giver of these gifts. It is my way of saying, β€œπΏπ‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘‘, 𝐼 𝑀𝑖𝑙𝑙 π‘›π‘œπ‘‘ π‘€π‘Žπ‘ π‘‘π‘’ π‘€β„Žπ‘Žπ‘‘ π‘Œπ‘œπ‘’ β„Žπ‘Žπ‘£π‘’ 𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑛.”

This certification is not just an achievement, but a responsibility. It reminds me that everything I have β€” skills, wisdom, and opportunities β€” belongs first to God. I am only His steward, called to use these blessings for His glory and the good of others.
