Welcome to our exciting new series. This is a Bible Study on “The Exile”.
The Exile is one of the most important events in biblical history—but also the most overlooked.
Huge chunks of the Old Testament took it’s form during the Exile. That means lots of writing and editing happened within this period of intense suffering.
But it makes sense. Breakthroughs happen after the breaking.
Friend, are you going through a breaking right now?
Trust in God that your breakthrough is coming.
Talk 1: The Waiting Room
Big parts of life is about waiting.
Waiting to graduate. Waiting to get a job. Waiting to meet the right person. Waiting to get promoted. Waiting to retire.
Or how about this: Waiting for an answered prayer?
How does God want us to wait?
This is where we talk about the Jewish Exile, because that was one gigantic Waiting Room that lasted for 70 years.
When was the last time you were in a waiting room and were happy being there?
Talk 2: The Gift Of Lament
Sometimes, faith isn’t about having all the answers. Sometimes, it’s just about having the courage to cry out. Are you tired of feeling like your prayers are hitting a ceiling? If your world feels like it’s falling apart, know this: you don’t have to carry that weight by yourself.

Talk 3: Reframing Your Life
We often treat the difficult seasons of our lives like a waiting room—a place we just want to leave as quickly as possible. We tell ourselves, “Life will finally start once this is over.” But what if the “interruption” is the invitation? What if God isn’t just waiting for your circumstances to change, but is waiting for you to see Him in them? Hope isn’t found by escaping the season; it’s found by reframing it. Even when the ground feels dry, something is shifting beneath the surface.
Talk 4: “The Third Way”
𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀? Sometimes life puts us in a “lose-lose” situation—or so it seems. We think we only have two choices: stay and fight or give up and walk away. But what if there’s a path you haven’t even considered? This Wednesday, March 18, join us at Feast Center for a talk in our How Did We Get Here? series. Bro. Oying Isidoro will be diving into “The Third Way”—a message about the breakthrough that happens when we look beyond the obvious.
Talk 5: The New Temple
When the exiles returned to Jerusalem, they wanted the original grandeur of Solomon’s Temple. And they wept when they saw its poor replacement. But God gave them the smaller, simpler structure because He was already preparing them for a new era where God’s Temple was no longer made of stone.
Why does it always feel like something is missing? 🤔 We chase the job, the house, and the milestones, but the goalposts always seem to move. If you feel like you’re “in-between,” it’s because you are! We’re living in the Already But Not Yet—a world under construction, looking forward to a finished home. You don’t have to be miserable while you wait. Let’s finish this journey together!
