Welcome to February, ang buwan ng mga kulang kulang. That’s how some of my elders would jokingly say about my birth month, yes, you read that right. It’s my birth month, and I will be turning 50. YES 50! Some of you might be thinking. “Weh 50, He looks like 23.” I can’t blame you. But kidding aside. At this age, you begin to look back at how the past few years have been and start to plot out what to do with the years ahead.
But for me to plot out my destination, I need to have a full grasp of my current situation. Most apps like Google Maps and Waze will ask you first to give them permission to access your location. Once it knows your location, it will give you the fastest route. Sometimes the fastest route is not the shortest, but it allows you to get to your destination in the best time possible.
I believe the same goes for my life. I need to allow God to access my current situation. My struggles, my victories, my anxieties, what makes me happy, what scares me, when am I at peace? Be honest with Him.
Second is for me to visualize where I really want to go, where I want myself 2, 5, and 10 years from now. From there, I know God will plot out the best route that will get me there.
Friend, are you lost? Allow God to guide you where you need to be. He will always give you the best route.
