SAGADA’S HANGING COFFIN

by Mike Sanchez

Seeing Sagada’s hanging coffins for the first time, hindi ko maiwasang humanga at mapangiti.

We spend much time trying to “rise above” life’s challenges– while the natives of Sagada took it more literally.

And maybe the hanging coffin’s message for us is this:

To love one another, our environment, and God.

This 2026,

1. Elevate your purpose. Shift from focusing purely on our personal needs, to considering the needs and well-being of others and the environment.

2. Daily lift your prayers to God. Hang your worries, surrender, and trust God to give you the very best version of your dreams.
