Happy New Year! 2026 naโkumusta na?
Sa pagbabago ng taon, thereโs a natural expectation of change. Many of us enter the year full of hope, while others carry the weight of frustrations from goals only half-met and prayers that seem to remain in “waiting.” We often look for grand transformations, yet for many of us, life continues with the same beautiful, complex realities we held last year.
Sa akin, ganun din. When I started writing for GOTO last year, I was filled with hope for my son who has autism. While many things have improved, he is still hyperactive and deals with attention deficits. My other son has also made great strides, but he is still waiting for full healing from his heart condition, and his Down Syndrome remains a permanent part of our journey.

Even though 2025 ended with half-realized dreams, I choose to see it as the year I learned to fully trust in God. Going into 2026, I choose that same trustโand I pray I can learn to lean into it even more. I donโt believe that the improvements in my sonsโ conditions are a “price” or a reward for my faith. Instead, I believe my faith is what made me receptive to God’s providence in my life.
So, I enter 2026 with open hands. Not because I have everything Iโve asked for, but because I know Who holds the year ahead. Whether the road is smooth or steep, the goal remains the same: to trust more, to love deeper, and to stay receptive to the wonders God is performing in the quiet corners of our lives.
