HIS RIGHT TIME

𝘉𝘺: 𝘛𝘪𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘺 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘯

After finishing my Psychology degree in May 2015, I immediately began reviewing for the 2015 Psychometrician Licensure Exam, even though my official graduation was still scheduled for December.

Midway through my review, while preparing the requirements, my TOR was withheld because my Latin Honor appeal was still under review. Sadly, I was unable to take the board exam.

From 2016 to 2018, God led me down a different path, so I set aside my dream of earning the license. In 2019, I tried again and enrolled in a paid online review while working a demanding job, only to discover weeks before the exam that I was missing a requirement. It was a failed 2nd attempt.

In 2020, yes I decided to try again and reviewed while working, until the pandemic happened. The exams were also postponed in 2021, and when it was announced that the next exam would be held in February 2022, I knew I did not have enough time to prepare. With these “NO’s” and REJECTIONS, I felt deeply discouraged. I began to feel too old to take the exam and feared I had fallen behind in psychology updates.

Still, I prayed, this time, I asked for His direction and chose not to rely on my own decisions. I wanted the answer to come from Him.

Hello 2023, I made sure my faith and everything was aligned. I took the exam, and I passed!

I realized that 2023 was truly God’s perfect timing. I had a more relaxed job that year, and He knew that by 2024 I would be married and focused on building my family. He knew I wasn’t ready and protected me from failure.

If you are in this same season and feel God is silent, my friend, it is not rejection, it is PROTECTION, and it is not no, but NOT YET.

Indeed, Isaiah 60:22 says, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
