Itβs that time of the year when our Talisay tree sheds its leaves once again. This tree has been our familyβs reliable friend for many years as its sprawling branches have constantly provided a cool shade for our home.
But this season of fall is surely not one of our familyβs favorites. Sweeping off the fallen leaves can be very daunting and tiring. The amount of fallen leaves are just too many that you even donβt know where to start. To the point that one of our neighbors already called us out because there are times when the leaves already reach their backyard. I apologized and mentioned that it is just a season.
Our life, too, has its own seasons. There are times when we encounter a lot of strikes and blows. But like the old proverb goes, βπ»πππ, πππ, πππππ ππππ.β I believe that the operative word here is βπ‘ππβ β which means to say, βjust like any otherβ.
Looking back, we see that we survived a lot of storms in our lives, but God was always with us. He cannot shield us from pain nor promise that trials wouldnβt come. But we can be certain that He will never leave us. And the promise of spring awaits eternal.
As my favorite song from Ben and Ben goes
