BARISTA

𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐲𝐫𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐦-𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐨

I am not much of a coffee lover, but I need a cup every morning to get me through the day.

One night after the Feast, I stayed a little longer at a coffee shop near our Feast Center, as my husband attended to a client.

I was sleepy since it was already late but didn’t want to order coffee as it might keep me awake the entire night. So, I ordered a non-coffee drink instead.

The barista called out my name and handed me my drink with a note that says, “Handcrafted with  by LORD”.

I giggled inside as I knew God wanted to send a message across and make me smile after a tiring day at work and ministry.

And I began to ponder how the Lord is like the “Barista”, Who perfectly knows our exact blend—our quirks included. He customizes every single blessing according to our needs.

Sometimes, we are too fixated on what we dream our lives to be, and we get frustrated when our ideal vision of ourselves does not reflect our reality.

But God reminds us in His Word, “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌, 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐.” – Ephesians 2:10

We just have to allow the Lord to work in us and through us so that our true flavor would come out and bless the world.
