When I was young, I used to believe that the Christmas gifts we received were from Santa Claus. And for the longest time, I wished for a cooking kitchen set, but never got it.
It can be a disappointing experience when a heartfelt prayer seems to be denied. It’s easy to feel unheard or even abandoned.
Many years later, I became an entrepreneur baker. I realized God’s response to my prayer is not actually a “No”, but a “Yes”, and more.
God gave me not just a cooking set, but amazing opportunities to serve and be part of something valuable.
I was blessed to have been tapped as a baker trainer for Jeremiah House Learning Center, a special education facility, equipping young adults with special needs with the skills they need to lead independent, fulfilling lives, such as cooking and baking.
Mama Mia Sweet Delights (my business) was featured by GMA 7’s Jiggy Manicad.
A denial from God is often not a rejection, but a redirection to something far better than we could have ever imagined for ourselves.
So last Corpus Christi Sunday, in front of Jesus, I knelt, cried my heart out, and prayed deeply.
I entrust myself and surrender to God, who always desires the best for me.
And whatever God’s response is to my prayer, I am assured:
“𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑠 𝑡𝑜𝑔𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝐺𝑜𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑐𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑢𝑟𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑒…” 𝑅𝑜𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑠 8:28
