TALK SERIES: THE GOOD LIFE, A Journey Through The Sermon On The Mount
Talk 1: You Lack One Thing
What is really The Good Life? What does it mean to be truly happy, and how does this look like in the eyes of Jesus?
Welcome to our brand-new Feast series, The Good Life.
We start a 10-week adventure into the Sermon on the Mount, the greatest talk ever told, preached by the greatest preacher of all time.
Today, I want to preach the message, “You lack one thing.”
Question: Do you want to live the Good Life?
If you answer yes, you need to listen to Jesus because He talked about the Good Life. Where? In the Introduction of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus declared the craziest ideas.
Talk 2: Salt and Light
Jesus said you are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. Yes! YOU are part of His plan. 🔥
He wants you beside Him—as part of His team.
It is difficult to understand how God can have such a lofty view of frail, weak, damaged human beings.
Pero “Bilib si Lord sa ‘yo.” (God believes in you.)
Dear friend, He’s giving you a very important job: You are the salt of the earth and light of the world.
Talk 3: Lord, Help Me Forgive
Forgiveness isn’t about fairness.
Our one big message is a prayer: Forgive those who do not deserve to be forgiven.
Talk 4: Lust Kills
Talk 5: Pursue Peace
Is it possible to find peace in a world of conflict? Jesus’ answer might surprise you.
The only way to create real peace in this world is when we treat every human being—including our enemies—as God-Containers.
Today, we want to preach the disturbing message, love your enemies.
Talk 6: Habits of Love
Giving. Praying. Fasting. 🙏 Three powerful habits that can bring us closer to God. If done with the wrong heart, it pulls us away. This Wednesday, discover how to turn these into true Habits of Love. 💛 Watch the video:
Talk 7: Prayer of the Revolution
Talk 8: Wealth and Worry
Are your possessions holding you captive? We often find security in our stuff, but Jesus offers a different path to peace. Listen to Bro. Oying Isidoro as he unpacks why we can stop worrying about our needs and start trusting that God’s got you. We’ll discover how to store up true treasure that can never be taken away.
Talk 9: Relationships Needs God’s Wisdom
Why? If you want the Good Life, you need good relationships. Without happy relationships, you cannot be happy.
Talk 10: Build Your House On Rock
Fulfilling work is important. Family is important. Health is important. Having quiet mornings—sipping your coffee while gazing on the beautiful sunrise—is something I will highly recommend.
But we must avoid reducing The Good Life to a tiny version of it.
